Digital Economic Community and Adopting Green Mobility Pattern of Households Living in the Peri-Urban Area of Hyderabad, India
摘要
Technology has always not only shaped the workplace, but also the choice of housing location and mobility patterns, the existing and forecast rate of global technological change is faster than ever before, and increasingly visible in India. Large-scale capital investment for the creation of physical infrastructure and digital infrastructure development demands an understanding of the transformation from social to digital-based urban communities and its impact on the spatial planning of cities and regions. In the peri-urban areas, residential neighbourhoods are developing without basic infrastructure. Demand for the mobility needs of the households is comparatively higher as it is far from the city centre. This research tries to explore the context of the emerging digital economic community and mobility of households in the peri-urban area of Hyderabad particularly the household’s adoption of green mobility patterns.
