In-depth analyses of Chinese medicine policy texts reveal a series of characteristic measures formulated by the state for Chinese medicine. Based on the WK Priority Database, 129 policy texts enacted at the national level from 2006 to 2024 were selected, and text mining was carried out using the LDA topic model after manual secondary screening to explore the hot topics and evolution paths of Chinese TCM policies, and ultimately identified inheritance and innovation (Topic0), international exchanges and cooperation (Topic1), Talent Cultivation (Topic2), Normalization (Topic3), Coordinated Development (Topic4), and Development Factors (Topic5). Observing the evolutionary trend of the themes in different years, it is found that the focus of Chinese medicine policy has gradually evolved from Development Factors (Topic5) to the areas of Inheritance and Innovation (Topic0), International Exchange and Cooperation (Topic1) and so on. It was found that the focus of TCM policies gradually evolved from development factors (Topic5) to heritage and innovation (Topic0) and international exchange and cooperation (Topic1). The results show that: development factorss, inheritance and innovation, and international exchanges and cooperation are the focus of future research in the field of Chinese medicine policy, and cooperation, innovation and development are the key to the upgrading of Chinese medicine policy in the future, so as to provide certain scientific references for promoting the development of Chinese medicine policy system.
