Social media has absolutely modified the manner humans connect, have interaction and speak with each other. Social media platforms have many advantages, such as growth in one person’s connectivity and providing information, increased source of income, and promotions but they also have a downside for being bad for one’s mental health, and there isn’t just one reason for that. Different social media structures have distinctive outcomes for distinctive people. It accelerates how human beings trade and percentage information, thoughts, and thoughts throughout digital networks. Some evidence suggests that its overuse can negatively affect mental health in numerous ways. The main contribution of the work lies in understanding the factors related to social media which affect mental health. This paper will explore the relationship between social media use and declining mental health, examining the various ways that social media can impact mental health and identifying potential interventions to mitigate these negative effects. We have proposed a data mining technique that identifies the mental health of a user depending on a few factors such as screen time, content, and many more.
