From Human Touch to AI: Student Perspectives on the Digital Transformation in Education
摘要
This study addresses the challenge of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into education, focusing on undergraduate students’ perceptions of its impacts on learning and society. Utilizing Topic Modeling, specifically Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA), the research analyzes responses from 204 Indonesian management students. The study reveals five key themes: AI’s influence on human life, its facilitation of tasks, its role in education, its potential negative consequences, and its implications for job replacement. The dominant theme is AI’s impact on education, highlighting the dual nature of AI as both a beneficial tool and a potential disruptor. While the strengths of the proposed solution include providing valuable insights into student perceptions and using advanced text-mining techniques, the study is limited by its focus on a single demographic and the inherent challenges of interpreting sentiment analysis results. The findings underscore the need for a balanced approach in deploying AI in educational settings, ensuring the maximization of benefits while mitigating risks.
