Transforming Gamification-Based Flipped Learning Models into BPMN 2.0 Models Using ATL: Mapping, Implementation, and Challenges
摘要
The integration of gamified flipped learning scenario models into the Business Process Management System (BPMS) presents a significant challenge considering their complexity and differences between them. This paper addresses this problem. It proposes a model-to-model transformation approach using the ATLAS Transformation Language (ATL). The solution leverages ATL's flexibility. It maps elements from a gamification-based flipped learning source metamodel to a Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) 2.0 target metamodel. The strengths of this approach include the ability to preserve the unique properties of gamified flipped learning elements. It presents an exemplary ATL code implementation that illustrates the practical application. Moreover, a detailed use case validates the fidelity of the transformation. Furthermore, the paper not only indicates opportunities, but it also identifies complexities and challenges to be encountered during the enactment.
