Agriculture is one of the most important resources for food production and plays an important role in the economic management of many countries, but there are some problems in farming methods, such as excessive wastage of water when irrigating fields and relying on agriculture. Since agriculture plays an important role in the development of the country’s economy, development should be done in a way that makes it profitable and improves the quality of the crop. This article discusses various new technologies considering the use of IoT in irrigation of agricultural lands. So, this project means that a smart automatic irrigation system uses soil moisture sensors connected to NodeMCU (ESP8266) as controller, which is programmed using MicroPython programming language, and the internet is used to send and receive the data between the controller and the user. This is done using ThingSpeak as a platform to show the information to the user.
