Artificial Intelligence and the Financial Analyst Profession: A Literature Review

Recent advances in artificial intelligence have led to promising results in various fields, including finance, commerce, human resources, and industry. Financial services, including financial analysis, are undergoing transformation through the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies, benefiting both clients and stakeholders (Faure in Review of financial economics 135:51–66 [1]). With the significant advancements in artificial intelligence, financial analysis processes are being optimized by incorporating intelligent systems for learning, reasoning, and decision-making. New FinTech companies such as Nalo, Commerzbank, WeSave, AlphaSense, and Morningstar have emerged, developing specialized Robo-Advisors (Robo-Advisors are online platforms providing automated financial and investment advice) for financial analysis. This article aims to analyze, based on a review of literature review, the use of (AI) in the financial analyst profession and the challenges arising from its integration into this profession.
