Forest fires are a major ecological and economical hazard around the world, endangering biodiversity, human lives, and precious natural resources. Effective forest fire management control and prevention measures are critical for limiting wildfire damage. This abstract presents an overview of current forest policies and practises concerning forest fire management, control, and prevention. Forest regulations are critical in defining the framework for managing forest fires. These policies address a variety of issues, including fire prevention, suppression, land management, and recovery. Many countries have implemented comprehensive forest fire management strategies that incorporate scientific research, community participation, and multi-agency coordination. The policies emphasise a proactive approach, with the goal of reducing fire hazards through fuel management, early warning systems, public education, and legislation. Forest fire management, control, and prevention practises differ based on geographical contexts, ecological circumstances, and available resources. To extinguish wildfires, fire suppression strategies entail the deployment of well-trained firefighting personnel, equipment, and airborne resources. Furthermore, prescribed burning is extensively used as a preventative approach to lower fuel loads and the severity of future fires. It entails carefully planned controlled burns during favourable weather conditions in order to imitate natural fire regimes and preserve ecosystem health.
