This chapter explores the intersection of Halal logistics and environmental sustainability within the maritime industry, highlighting how Islamic ethical principles align with global sustainability goals. With the maritime sector contributing significantly to global trade and environmental degradation, the need for innovative solutions that address both Halal compliance and environmental preservation is urgent. It examines the role of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and green marine technologies in enhancing the traceability and integrity of Halal products across complex global supply chains. Case studies from Malaysia and Indonesia demonstrate the potential for Halal tourism and sustainable port operations to drive economic growth while respecting both religious and environmental standards. Challenges such as the lack of global standardization, stakeholder fragmentation, and financial limitations are discussed, along with practical solutions like regional cooperation, public–private partnerships (PPPs), and the phased adoption of blockchain and green technologies. The potential for Halal logistics to become a key driver of sustainable development in the maritime sector is emphasized, positioning ports, logistics providers, and tourism operators to meet the growing demand for Shariah-compliant and eco-friendly products and services.
