This chapter discusses the correlation between Maqasid Shari’ah and the green economy in the context of halal industry sustainability. Maqasid Shari’ah, which represents the goals and core principles of Islamic law, emphasizes the protection of five key elements: religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. This chapter explores how Maqasid Shari’ah principles can be integrated with green economy concepts to create a sustainable model for the halal industry. The green economy, focusing on reducing environmental impact and enhancing socio-economic well-being, can be seen as part of the effort to achieve the goals of Maqasid Shari’ah in preserving the earth and ensuring human welfare. The discussion also includes how the halal industry can adopt green economy practices, such as using renewable energy, environmentally friendly waste management, and ethical production. By integrating Maqasid Shari’ah into green economy practices, the halal industry not only meets Shari’ah standards but also contributes to global sustainability. The methodology used is a systematic review, which aims to identify, assess, and synthesize relevant research comprehensively to understand the application of Maqasid Shari’ah principles in supporting the green economy and the sustainability of the halal industry.
