Bolted ring-type structures like steel truss bridges and copper interlaced pipes commonly exist in civil and mechanical engineering. Since these structures are often subject to various dynamic loads, bolt-loosening faults frequently generate and seriously affect structural in-service performance. Therefore, a large number of nonlinear vibration TF-based fault diagnosis methods, which make full use of structural nonlinear dynamic responses, have been proposed and applied.
