In Chap. 3 , properties of SOOS TFs of VBLSs are studied, and a novel method is proposed to diagnose bolt-loosening faults in structures with inherent nonlinearities caused by boundaries and/or materials. Results of theoretical analysis show that effects of inherent nonlinearities on nonlinear features and fault indicators can be eliminated by considering additional SOOSs from reference structures, and comparative results of experiments verify the accuracy of the novel proposed method.

摘要
