This article conducts a bibliometric analysis of research on oil spill dispersants in China. From the perspective of the application and management of dispersants, it elaborates on the publication trends and research hotspots of oil spill dispersants. At the same time, the main spraying devices, operating principles, and laws and regulations involved in the use of oil spill dispersants were analyzed, I hope to provide assistance to researchers in this field. Analysis has found that research in this field is closely related to the occurrence of oil spill emergencies, and the study of oil spill pollution removal and dispersant toxicity is a hot topic in research. At present, the main spraying methods are aerial spraying, ship spraying, and portable spraying, and different spraying methods have different operating principles. At the same time, China’s management of oil spill dispersants requires that offshore operations such as well platforms should be equipped with dispersants capable of eliminating more than 10 tons of oil spills. Ports, docks, and other facilities should be equipped according to their berthing capacity. During use, it is necessary to follow the usage conditions of the oil spill dispersant, and to properly store and manage the packaging materials of the oil spill dispersant on site.
