In recent years, digital technologies have proven invaluable in bridging distances and, within the realm of education, have demonstrated their ability to facilitate learning. Within the sphere of second/foreign language education, these technologies provide students with opportunities to connect with peers across diverse global locations, thereby nurturing the development and growth of their intercultural communicative competence (ICC). For English language students specifically, engaging in online intercultural exchange projects can serve as a means to enhance their ICC and offer opportunities to practice the target language. This chapter examines the development of intercultural competences through an online language and cultural sharing program between university students in Japan and Argentina. For both cohorts, the students were non-native English speakers and they voluntarily participated in the 2-month intercultural exchange program as one of their extracurricular activities. Overall, the experience engaged students in speaking the target language and promoted the development of rich international communication and intercultural understanding.
