A structural audit is like a doctor checking a patient—it’s like a detailed health checkup of a structure. Its main goal is to ensure the building’s and its surroundings’ safety and risk-free existence. A structural audit evaluates the overall health and function of the structure, much like a medical checkup. In particular, the building, constructed in 1984, is a two-storied load-bearing structure with commercial (education) usage on black cotton soil. Under the guidance of a qualified and experienced structural expert, this assessment explores the strength of the structure, including the collection of data, visual inspection, NDT testing, and suggesting necessary maintenance and retrofitting options to improve efficiency and safety. The caliber of construction work is frequently correlated with the degree of damage or degradation in a structure. Wear and tear on the structure is caused by a number of sources, including fire damage, cracking, chemical attack, and steel erosion over time. An overall structural audit takes these things into account and provides suggestions on how to make the structure more suitable and long-lasting. This audit was performed to assess the strength, structural integrity, and feasibility of building for further use.
