An algorithm for restructuring 2D-arrays with faults which have spares around them is described. It divides the arrays into four subarrays such that each subarray has spares on the orthogonal two sides. Then, ROT method is applied to each subarray. The method varying the dividing positions is also described. It is shown that the array reliabilities for the proposed method increase so much, comparing with that for non-dividing method as in [1]. A hardware realization of the algorithm with ROT method is described.

摘要
