The arrangements of processor elements (PEs) in the typical arrays such as line array, two-dimensional array, three-dimensional array and tree array are shown. If array systems have no spares and a single PE fails to perform its assigned task correctly due to some defects/faults, the computation will result in failure or computing speed will be down. To confirm this situation, the reliabilities of two-dimensional arrays with sizes of \(N \times N (N = 4, 8, 16)\) are shown.
