In this study, indoor smart-recirculating aquaculture system was constructed. We integrated four low cost equipment i.e., fish tanks, WiFi-auto feeders, WiFi-auto drainage set and small scale activated sludge-biofilter system together withWiFi-water quality monitoring tools and IP camera. To operate the constructed system, internet servers and tools were used to integrate the data. This IoT system was used for indoor aquaculture of endangered species, khela mahseer (Tor douronensis) and common Thai freshwater fish species for example, Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) and mad carp (Leptobarbus hoevenii) during 2020–2023. The results showed that all cultured species in this system had a good growth. The benefits of this smart indoor aquaculture system are reduction in working hours, low cost and easy maintenance. Therefore, this integrated IoT low-cost aquaculture system is suitable for intensive indoor aquaculture.
