The Speciesizing-Nature of Man and the Speciesizing-Philosophy
摘要
I have been pondering the question of the speciesizing for a long time. It comes from my reflection on “man”, along with considerations of the realistic, historical and theoretical aspects. Mankind is experiencing a historic turning point; at the moment, we are faced with various crises and social problems. Philosophy has been gauging man on an abstract grid, an approach that has lost man and bogged itself down in theoretical quagmires. Therefore, a comprehensive, essential and fit-for-the-zeitgeist understanding of man and human society is needed. The world has entered into integration, but the “individual-based” society has enclosed man in a cocoon as individuals who exist as monads. The problems that arise from this situation seem, on the surface, to be the conflict between man and nature, but the actual conflict is between men themselves. The root cause is the human way of existence. In my opinion, economic development and modernization alone cannot solve these problems. Neither can they be solved through proposals by Western philosophers of “exiting anthropocentricism”, weakening the “subjectivity of man” or putting a damper on industrial development and returning to the natural state. The emergence of these problems means that we cannot use those old ideas of man to understand and treat issues related to the existence and development of man. Rather, we should search for new ideas and concepts.
