After years of research and thinking on the developmental history of philosophy, I have formed the following view about philosophy. As the theory of “worldview”, philosophy expresses views about human beings, although it faces the external world. This view means more than the fact that human beings see this world from the perspective of human beings. Rather, it means primarily that the essence of philosophical understanding is no more than the understanding of human beings themselves; it achieves the understanding of the qualities, meanings and values of the existence and activities of human beings themselves through the understanding of the world. Understood reversely, my view also means that human beings grasp the external world on the basis of their own understanding. Therefore, in the history of philosophy, philosophy has understood human beings in the same way that it understands the world; debates between different understandings of the world boil down to the different understandings of human beings themselves.

摘要
