Mitigation strategies, including advanced encryption, multi-factor authentication, decentralized identity solutions, and regulatory frameworks, are discussed as essential to safeguarding purchasers. The paper concludes by identifying gaps in current research and proposing directions for future studies, emphasizing the need for interdisciplinary approaches to enhance metaverse security.
