Design and Experimental Research of a Multi-configuration Morphing Wing Mechanism
摘要
The aerospace morphing aircraft is a kind of new concept aircraft which can change its aerodynamic shape through the morphing mechanism to adapt to the complex and variable flight environment and mission. A new multi-configuration morphing wing mechanism that can achieve variable span deformations and spanwise bending is proposed to meet the development requirements of wide-airspace and wide-speed domain of future morphing aircraft, and experimental validation is carried out for this design. Firstly, the innovative design of RSPC sub-mechanism is proposed, and the 4-RSPCR multi-loop closed-chain mechanism is innovatively designed by replacing the mechanism rods with sub-mechanisms, and the multi-module morphing wing mechanism is proposed to design a multi-module mechanism with the 4-RSPCR mechanism as the module unit; Secondly, the degrees of freedom of the mechanism are calculated by applying the theory of higher spatial mechanics, and the feasibility of which is verified by simulation analysis using Adams; Finally, the principle prototype of the multi-configuration morphing wing mechanism is fabricated and deformation experiments are conducted. The research results show that the proposed new mechanism can achieve the multi-configuration morphing wing mechanism with spanwise bending and variable span deformations, and the research results provide a reference for the basic research and engineering application of the morphing wing mechanism for new morphing aircraft.
