Spotting the Riptide: Psychological Assessments for Suicidal Ideation
摘要
Suicidal ideation refers to the thoughts or ideas about ending one’s life. These ideations may remain unidentified as individuals may not express them explicitly. This, however, does not reduce the risks involved. Therefore, a timely identification of suicidal ideations is crucial for appropriate intervention. Various psychological tests and rating scales can indicate the presence of such thoughts. This chapter discusses psychological tests and scales having potentials to assist in the identification of suicidal ideations.
