This paper aims to study the high temperature faults that frequently occur during the operation of evaporative cooling wind turbine, analyze the root causes of the faults according to the theory of evaporative cooling two-phase flow media and the structural principle of the components, combined with the real-time data feedback from the temperature, flow, pressure sensor monitoring unit in the cooling system. Accordingly, the indexes and workflow applicable to the fault diagnosis of evaporative cooling system are researched to provide effective parameter basis and technical foundation for the realization of preventive maintenance of wind turbines.
