Genetic and Genomic Advances in Pediatric Surgery
摘要
The dissemination of genetic and genomic information is rapidly transforming the management of newborns and children with birth disabilities. Genetic and genomic research advances have enhanced our understanding of various disease causes at the gene level and beyond. Technological breakthroughs enable whole genome sequencing and provide individual genetic profiles in less than 24 h. Techniques like next-generation sequencing (NGS) and microarrays have significantly improved our comprehension of pediatric disorders.
