Urinary Diversion
摘要
Urinary diversion is when the normal anatomical urinary tract structures are bypassed, and an opening/tube/stent is made/placed in the urinary system to bring the urine out via another way. It is used for a novel set of indications to address the unique surgical and technical challenges and diagnosis among the pediatric age group. A variety of techniques, including temporary and permanent diversion procedures, are utilized to divert the flow of urine safely.
