The Critical Role of Metacognition and Self-Efficacy in Revision
摘要
This chapter provides an overview of the crucial role of metacognition and self-efficacy in the revision process. It first introduces cognitive models of writing, serving as an overarching framework within which the role of metacognition in revision is reviewed. The role of self-efficacy in writing, with an emphasis on its significance in revision, is then explained. This chapter ends with how these two paradigms interact in the specific domain of revision, providing a rationale for facilitating writers’ revision through the development of their self-regulated learning abilities.
