Electronic warfare (EW)—also known as electronic countermeasures (EMCs)—is a type of warfare based on modern technology involving electronic reconnaissance, counter-reconnaissance, electronic jamming, anti-interference, electronic stealth, and anti-stealth techniques. Stealth technology plays an important role in modern EW. In view of its major impact on warfare, stealth technology will be increasingly used in future high-tech EW applications. Consequently, more countries around the world are developing it.
