The Philippines is a country that lives in the tropics and is known to experience quite harsh heatwaves during the year. Solar energy works by converting energy from the sun into power, which can be utilized with the help of a solar panel. There are different factors that affect the overall solar energy potential which includes meteorological factors and pollutants. Knowledge about using this type of renewable energy is no longer new to Filipinos. With its help, the country could then lessen its dependency on using fossil fuels for power and look to solar power as a new energy source. Some factors will affect the solar energy potential within an area; man may cause some while others naturally occur. This study aims to give a deeper look at the solar energy potential in Metro Manila and in different Philippine cities with the help of data science. It looks at different aspects that affect the overall solar energy efficiency.
