In response to the growing need for secure and non-custodial legacy planning solutions, this paper proposes a novel system harnessing blockchain technology and smart contracts where it endeavors to revolutionize traditional legacy planning by providing a decentralized platform for storing will documents and beneficiary details through the utilization of blockchain’s immutable ledger and smart contracts’ self-executing capabilities, by ensuring the integrity and implementation of established strategies without reliance on intermediaries. Further this paper also elaborates on the intricacies of our proposed system, detailing its design, methodology, and anticipated outcomes, while also highlighting the contemporary relevance and significance of integrating blockchain technology into modern legacy planning practices.
