In recent years, artificial intelligence and computer science are integrated into various fields such as electrical engineering, vehicle engineering and intelligent sensing engineering. Universities are increasingly introducing foundational course Data Structure into engineering-related majors due to the popularity of artificial intelligence and the importance of computer science. To accommodate these broad students, our team develop three-level courses for computer science students, engineering students, and students from other majors. This paper presents three key observations on connection between Data Structure with other courses and corresponding potential solution to enhance the effectiveness of Data Structure education across diverse student populations. This paper also discusses how to evolve the teaching philosophy considering the new demands in the AI era.
