Pileus 2–3.5 cm broad, hemispherical when young, becoming convex to nearly plane in age, glutinous when fresh, distinctly wrinkled or irregularly shallowly reticulate, brown to reddish brown at centre, gradually paler outwards, deep orange, orange, orange–yellow, light yellow to pale yellow and incurved at margin when young. Context 3–4 mm thick, soft, white to yellowish white, unchanging or changing to pinkish when exposed. Tubes light yellow to greenish yellow, 8–10 mm deep, unchanging when bruised. Pores 0.8–1 mm in diam., circular to angular. Stipe 40–70 mm long, 3–7 mm thick, sometimes hollow, greyish red to brownish orange, glabrous, sometimes longitudinally striate unobviously, gelatinous, with white basal mycelium. Basidiospores 11–12 × 4–5 μm, ellipsoid, smooth, thin walled.
