The Performance of Epoxy-UHMWPE at Different Inclination and Anteversion Angle

摘要

The safeUHMWPE zone orientation is very important in avoiding prosthesis dislocation and it is also proven important in MoPMoP THRTHR. The orientation of acetabular cup should not be generalized based on previous studies literature review. The orientation of THR must take into consideration the acetabular components size dimension, especially on the femoral head diameter. The data shows that every femoral head diameter has self-particular unique safe zone orientation. For the MoP THR, it is allowed to use the 28 mm femoral head diameter as a consideration. However, the range of safe zone orientation becomes too small. Thus, it may lead to consequences on higher margin error possibility when placing the acetabular cup based on the range safe zone orientation. The study shows that 32 mm femoral head diameter and higher will exhibit greater safe zone orientation angle for the acetabular cup.
