The measurement of SDGs Desa moves between the correspondence and pragmatic epistemologies. The use of census methods refers to the correspondence epistemology. The pragmatic epistemology is demonstrated by the participation of the villagers themselves in conducting the census of their neighbours, who are known to be close, thus increasing the validity of the data. The data also fully belongs to each village itself, not the central government as the highest authority.
