In the agricultural sector’s rapid evolution, ensuring authenticity, quality, and origin of products is crucial. This study investigates merging blockchain and the Interplanetary File System (IPFS) to boost supply chain traceability. Blockchain, with its decentralized ledger, offers security and transparency, recording product information from origin to consumer. IPFS complements this by efficiently storing multimedia content like images and videos for authenticity verification. The proposed system uses blockchain to create immutable records of product journeys through the supply chain, supplemented by IPFS for multimedia storage. This integration aims to provide a robust and transparent solution for traceability. The study reviews existing blockchain-based traceability systems, highlighting strengths and limitations, and explores IPFS’s potential as a complementary technology. The technical architecture of the proposed system is outlined, discussing benefits and implementation challenges. The integration of blockchain and IPFS shows promise in enhancing agricultural product traceability, boosting consumer trust, and aiding stakeholders in making informed decisions.

摘要
