A Cost-Effective System for Monitoring the Quality of Air and Its Purification in Closed Spaces

Almost all the global population gets exposed to both outdoor and indoor air pollution, which can lead to a risk of many diseases. As industries expand, which makes the environment more polluted and even in closed spaces likes offices, schools get exposed to high pollution which may affect their productivity. We design a low-cost system which monitors the quality of air and its purification within enclosed closed spaces like offices, schools, and other indoor environments The system is built using NodeMCU (Micro-Controller Unit), MQ135 measures the parameters to ensure quality in air, and HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filter takes care of the purification of the air. The real-time data updates and graph plotting are done using Thingspeak, an IoT platform. This system will allow the monitoring of air in a hyperlocal level which gets stored in cloud which is analysed, and the purification module takes care of the purifying the air.
