This chapter is dedicated to the conventional ESM for simulating radiation and scattering. The basic concepts of the ESM in frequency domain for stationary sources are first reviewed. Then, the time domain formulation is described. The method follows the usual iterative approach that finds the solution at each new time step from the results of the previous steps. Since such approach is unstable different regularization methods are discussed. Two cases are considered, stationary bodies and moving bodies.

摘要

This chapter is dedicated to the conventional ESM for simulating radiation and scattering. The basic concepts of the ESM in frequency domain for stationary sources are first reviewed. Then, the time domain formulation is described. The method follows the usual iterative approach that finds the solution at each new time step from the results of the previous steps. Since such approach is unstable different regularization methods are discussed. Two cases are considered, stationary bodies and moving bodies.
