Modeling and Simulation of Domestic Solar Cooking
摘要
In this research work, a contemporary design of a box-type solar cooker having reflective mirrors has been studied and its effects have been studied by a simulation of the mechanism of the solar cooker. The cooking box within the cooker frame gets radiation from the sun directly and also the reflection from the mirrors thus getting heat from 2 sources. The reflectors being added also help us clearly study the implications of seasonal changes as well as how the angle of the solar rays plays in role in the efficiency of the cooker. Understanding the practical efficiency of the solar cooker also helps in knowing the financial aspects and how it compares to conventional sources further illustrating how solar cookers are an efficient alternate source in the future.
