Integrated Urban Water Management Plans

Many cities are now quite worried about water scarcity. Fast population expansion, insufficient planning, pollution, poverty, and conflicting demands on water resources are the main components of urbanisation that contribute to water stress. Large cities utilise a lot of energy that is often generated elsewhere and import a lot of food and consumer goods that aren’t even locally produced. As a result, the impact of urbanization's rising water consumption would be seen much beyond their borders. In developing nations, where most urbanisation is taking place, the necessary water infrastructure for treatment and supply will need substantial planning and financial resources, and the demand for water for direct urban use will also rise. Furthermore, precipitation patterns are predicted to undergo substantial changes due to climate change, impacting water availability and perhaps triggering water-related disasters.
