Structure-Aware Style Transfer Based on Multi-Scale and Edge Texture
摘要
In the realm of artistic style transfer, the endeavor to seamlessly blend the stylistic essence of one image with the foundational content of another has made remarkable strides, yet it continues to grapple with the intricate balance between preserving content integrity and achieving a compelling stylistic transformation. This paper introduces the Structure-Aware Style Transfer network, a pioneering approach designed to address this challenge by meticulously stylizing content features while safeguarding structural fidelity. Our approach is distinguished by its capacity to preserve essential content details while applying intricate style features across multiple scales. It employs innovative Multi-Scale Contrastive Loss (MSCL) and Edge Preservation Loss (EPL) to ensure that every stroke and texture is transferred with attention to detail and structural coherence. MSCL is ingeniously devised to enhance visual contrast across multiple scales, thereby imbuing the stylized images with a rich depth and vibrant dimensionality that captivates the viewer’s gaze. Concurrently, EPL is meticulously crafted to preserve the clarity and precision of edges, ensuring that the quintessential details of the content are not only retained but accentuated in the stylized output, thereby maintaining a tangible connection to the original content’s essence. The effectiveness of our approach is demonstrated through both quantitative and qualitative evaluations.
