The article analyzes energy consumption among industrial users and explores the use of renewable energy sources (RES) to meet their power needs. It proposes the establishment of an integrated energy system (IES) based on RES to reduce energy costs. Additionally, the article introduces an optimal energy management system (EMS) model for an industrial hydrogen facility, connecting a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a photovoltaic (PV) system. The EMS aims to minimize costs associated with load demand, ensuring reliable system operation, and reducing the industrial hydrogen facility’s net costs, as demonstrated through two illustrative cases.
