Plastics that are either biobased, biodegradable, or have both properties are referred to as bioplastics. Bioplastics have become recognised as eco-friendly materials that can replace non-renewable plastics because of their biodegradability and renewability. These materials, with their remarkable mechanical properties and lightweight characteristics, have demonstrated their value across a multitude of sectors, encompassing automotive, aerospace, aeronautics and sports industries. Furthermore, the imperative to curtail greenhouse gas emissions and enhance fuel efficiency has accentuated the demand.
