Iterative Equalization for Index-Modulated MFTN Signaling

In the discussions within Chaps. 3 and 5 , novel methodologies are described to enhance MFTN signaling demodulation. This involves mitigating intrinsic interferences by deactivating modulation units in IM and constructing effective receivers. Specifically, Chap. 3 investigates the integration of one-dimensional frequency-domain packing in the framework of SEFDM signaling enhanced with the IM technology. The development includes an optimized JCEE algorithm employing GMP-EP-VMP to boost BER outcomes. Further, Chap. 5 introduces a designed parametric message-passing receiver for MFTN signaling, which achieves a BER performance comparative to that of Nyquist signaling.
