In the educational landscape of twenty-first century, blended learning is an emerging trend due to its apparent characteristics of offering flexible, timely, and continuous learning. In a developing country like Fiji, blended learning has become more popular specifically for university students during and after COVID-19. While there have been many studies conducted on the evaluation of the continuous use of blended delivery, not much research has been done on the design of the courses. This chapter explores the impact of learner-centered design on a blended learning environment. This research was carried out at two universities in Fiji and the evaluation was carried out by expert review using a checklist, student surveys, and Moodle logs. The results from the two case studies showed the blended courses at both the universities were designed using a learner-centered approach. However, both the courses can be improved by  a more effective and efficient blended learning delivery . This study paves the way for academic institutions to evaluate their courses if they are using a blended learning approach for effective and efficient delivery of their courses.
