Technology and Technology-Mediated Learning

In the contextContext” of education, technologyTechnology” is a tool toTechnology support teaching and learning. It plays various roles such as essential, supplementary, and transformational ones. In the essential role, technology functions as a necessary component of teaching and learning processes. In the supplementary role, technology is to enhance teaching and learning. In the transformational role, technology brings fundamental changes into the teaching and learning processes. In this chapter, the various roles of technology and the concept of technology-mediated learning are presented.
