It includes government, private, and free-zone entities that are aligned with the strategy of the Emirate of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a whole. The healthcare system in Dubai strives to deliver quality care services that are effective, efficient, accessible, and affordable to the residents of Dubai. The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) is the main government health entity that oversees healthcare services in Dubai. The healthcare system in Dubai is quite unique because it covers the entire population, cascades from federal laws, and follows international standards. When comparing the healthcare system of Dubai to the international health systems, the system in Dubai is considered among the best internationally, as reported by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Dubai is collaborating with and following the OECD framework to ensure that key performance indicators are internationally comparable.
