Geriatric medicine has been one of the most rapidly evolving specialties over the last seven decades. Elderly patients who are 65 years old and older currently account for a large proportion of healthcare service’s consumers. The United Arab Emirates healthcare system has made significant progress in terms of elderly patient care and services, with several initiatives and policies in place to address the complex needs of this age group. This chapter will provide an overview of these current services, initiatives, and policies.
