The aim of this chapter is to identify changes that have been made to reduce the separation between the healthcare professions and sub professions. The chapter presents two approaches that have been designed to achieve greater integration: interprofessional collaboration and interprofessional education. This discussion is complemented by reflection by the editors to identify the implications for change for each of the 3P agencies of health and healthcare identified in Chapter 1: Principles and Purposes (P1); People in Place (P2); and Practices and Processes (P3).
