Pileus 1.5–3 cm broad, conical to campanulate at first, then hemispherical, slightly umbonate at centre, eggshell-coloured to grey brown or with reddish brown tinge, lighter at margin, often lustrous, often cracked at top when dried, changing to grey black in later stage; margin exceeding lamellae, appendiculate with velar remnants. Context thin, grey to slightly brownish. Lamellae adnate or sinuate, close, grey black, with black macules. Stipe 6–9 cm long, 2–4 mm thick, cylindrical, with white pruinescence at first, brown, slightly darker downwards, hollow. Annulus absent. Basidiospores 9.5–13 × 8–9.5 μm, elliptical to nearly hexagonal in frontal view, smooth, dark brown.
