Pileus 1–3 cm broad, convex, gradually plane; margin incurved at first, then decurved, even to undulate, striate when wet; surface glabrous, hygrophanous, umbrinous, fading to yellowish brown toward margin. Context thin, yellowish brown, unchanging when injured. Lamellae adnate to sinuate, close, pale brown, becoming dark brown in later stage. Stipe 2–5 cm long, 2–3 mm thick, subequal, often curved at base, pale brown in upper portion, pruinose, glabrous to sparsely fibrillose in lower portion, dirty vinaceous brown to dark brown, interiorly full filled at first, then hollow. Partial veil cortinoid, fugacious, leaving some cortinoid residues on stipe. Basidiospores 5.5–8 × 3.5–4.5 μm, elliptical, smooth, hyaline.
